Shapley’s welcomes all grooms at WEF to enter our Circuit Grand Finale Groom’s Class. This class is open to all hunter or jumper grooms and will be held in the International Ring March 30 before the $500,000 Grand Prix. There will be a purse of $700 plus awards and gift certificates worth a few hundred dollars as well as bragging rights as the Top Groom at WEF 2013!
We would like all interested grooms to enter at the show office so we can get a head count but if not just show up at the entrance to the International Ring at the time posted on flyers to be placed around the stabling area in the next few days.
To enter, show up with a perfectly groomed and tacked horse of your choice to present to judges. Braiding is optional and not to be penalized if not done. Have the horse tacked and ready to perform in their discipline just as you would take them to the ring. Judges will be looking at grooming style, cleanliness of horse and tack and appropriate extras like boots, scrims and brush boxes/backpacks.
